History of Clogging !
Clogging is a percussive dance in which you wear special shoes to make rythmic sounds with your feet. Clogging is also a great form of aerobic excercise which can help with coordination and flexbility.
APC teaches beginners, kids and adults, up to competition level dancing. Clogging has evolved tremendously over the past 100 years but APC likes to teach all styles and aspects of the dance to stay close to the history but also allow young people to dance to music they know and like as well. If you ever have thought about taking a class, come on out!!! We bet you will love it!!!!!
APC is under the direction of Brandi Moon. She has been clogging for over 25 years and teaching for over 10. She is a nationally certified clogging instructor (CCI), a certified ACHF Judge, Vice President of the North Carolina Clogging Association and was named to the 2007 All American Team in Maggie Valley! Clogging for her is a family affair as her daughters and sister dance as well as having a Great Grandfather that used to be known for dancing a jig or two!
